Sadness
Paint on Canvas 2019 Beginning Art Studio This picture has a busy look to it, because lives are busy, just as paintings can be too. There’s different shapes and colors to focus on. The color blue is the main color for this piece, to represent sadness, and black for darkness. The dripping lines also represent tears. A lot of paintings look perfect and hard to draw, I wanted mine to look more realistic, and not so complex. You can decide what you want the shapes to look like, so you can use your imagination. |
2 Faced
Colored pencils on paper 2019 Beginning Art Studio The person in the picture is just a girl, that could resemble me, or anyone you want it to. The girl shows that on one side of her face, she is happy, smiling and put together, on the other side, it shows she is sad, crying, and not as put together. I made this picture because it represents that people hide things and you may never know, as well as you can be both sad and happy at the same time. Some people believe if you are laughing or acting like you’re having a good time, that you can’t be sad too. I feel like people push emotions away so much that I wanted to bring light to sadness, and it’s okay to be happy and sad at the same time. Just because people think your life is great, and a lot of the time you think it’s great too, doesn’t mean that you can’t have problems that make you sad, and that you want to hide behind a smile.

Powerful Penguin
Pencil on paper 2019 Beginning Art studio You may look at this piece and think it’s just a penguin, but to me it’s actually more. Ever since I was little, I’ve loved penguins. For my 8th birthday, my mom drew me a penguin picture, and I thought it was the best thing ever. So I wanted to draw one too. The penguin spirit animal also reminds me of some of my personality traits, including endurance, and how penguins are powerful and will show it. Animals are also something I think is very interesting to draw, because you can make it look more animated, or more realistic if you want. You can really express yourself through your drawing of an animal. |
